Qualifications & Desired Experience Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or in a school-based support setting Specialized training or background working with deaf, blind, or deafblind individuals is highly valued Familiarity with communication support strategies, such as sign language, tactile or visual supports Commitment to fostering student independence, inclusion, and social-emotional development Patience, strong communication skills, and adaptability to changing needs in a classroom environment Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, families, and other support personnel Key Responsibilities Provide individualized 1:1 daily support to a 4th-grade student with combined hearing and vision needs Facilitate communication and access by interpreting, guiding, and adapting classroom activities Encourage student engagement and participation while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment Assist with mobility, daily routines, and transitions throughout the school day Document progress and collaborate with educational teams to help achieve student goals This role comes with the satisfaction of making a direct impact, and you'll be part of an encouraging environment committed to student growth.
