The Public Works team supports a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects in the greater Rhinelander area. Due to a recent retirement, this is a unique opportunity to step right into a strong and cohesive group of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Engineering Technicians that support common project types, including but not limited to: utilities, road reconstructions, parks/trails, stormwater, water/wastewater, and more This position requires being regularly available in the Rhinelander office, and relocation assistance may be considered for candidates not currently in the area. Be a trusted advisor for municipal clients, county agencies, and public stakeholders. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental specialists. Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, schedules, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, engineering standards, and permitting requirements. Support business development efforts by building client relationships and identifying new project opportunities. Provide strategic direction for public works initiatives, capital improvement programs, and long-term municipal infrastructure planning. Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience required 7+ years of experience in consulting engineering required Professional Engineer license (PE) preferred 1+ years of experience mentoring/managing staff preferred This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. Compensation Range:

$112,240 - $179,584 (commensurate with experience)
