Job Description
Summary:
Total Safety is looking for an IPSC Technician III to join their safety conscious team! The IPSC Technician II works under the direction of a supervisor in a plant environment and provides a variety of services which may include inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer owned or TSUS equipment. Interfaces with customers regularly. Total Safety is the world's premier provider of integrated safety and compliance services and the products necessary to support them, including gas detection, respiratory protection, safety training, fire protection, compliance and inspection, industrial hygiene, onsite emergency medical treatment/paramedics, communications systems, engineered systems design, and materials management. - Inspects, tests, and maintains safety equipment per manufacturer's requirements and document service according to TSUS/customer policies and procedures.
- Able to perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting.
- Works with others in facility stocking shelves with clean, tested, and ready to use equipment and pulling, staging, and loading customer orders onto trucks for delivery.
- Maintains work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of one year of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
- Proficient in issuing, receiving, tracking, inspecting equipment using company/customer provided software and providing basic reports.
- Able to effectively communicate with others and build rapport with customers quickly.
- Must work safely and adhere to all TSUS & customer policies and procedures.
- Able to obtain new certifications quickly based on customers' changing environment.
Working Environment:
- Plant environment.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
