Role:
The Registered Nurse•Technical Instructor for CNA's plays a critical role in shaping the next generation of Certified Nursing Assistants by delivering comprehensive, hands-on technical training. This position is responsible for ensuring that CNA students acquire the essential clinical skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. The instructor will develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with current healthcare standards and regulatory requirements. By fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, the instructor helps students build confidence and competence in their practical abilities. Ultimately, this role contributes to improving patient outcomes by preparing well-trained CNAs who are ready to meet the demands of the healthcare industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute care or long-term care settings. Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring healthcare staff or students. Strong knowledge of CNA scope of practice, clinical procedures, and healthcare regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a CNA instructor or in a similar educational role. Certification in nursing education or adult learning principles. Familiarity with simulation-based training and educational technology. Experience working with diverse student populations. Additional certifications related to patient care or healthcare education.
Responsibilities:
Design, prepare, and deliver technical instruction and practical demonstrations to CNA students, focusing on essential nursing assistant skills. Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support skill development. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, best practices, and certification requirements to ensure curriculum compliance. Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to coordinate training schedules and clinical placements for students. Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with institutional and accreditation standards.

The required skills enable the instructor to effectively communicate complex clinical procedures in an understandable manner, ensuring students grasp essential nursing assistant techniques. Strong interpersonal skills facilitate building rapport with students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
