Skill Set:
Technical writing experience, strong written communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, attention to detail, ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams.
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain specialized documentation that translates complex technical information into clear, user-friendly materials. This role will work closely with engineers, developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to develop documentation including user guides, SOPs, work instructions, installation manuals, and training materials. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with the ability to quickly understand technical concepts and present them in a concise and accessible format for end users.
Job Duties:
Produce high-quality documentation including work instructions, SOPs, user manuals, installation guides, and tutorials Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, developers, and product managers to gather technical information Review, edit, and standardize documentation to ensure consistency in formatting, style, and tone Create or incorporate diagrams, screenshots, graphs, and other visuals to improve user understanding Research products and processes to accurately document technical concepts and workflows Update and maintain documentation as products, systems, or processes evolve Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible for end users Work cross-functionally with QA, engineering, and other departments to support documentation needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5+ years of technical writing or related experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar and editing abilities Ability to quickly learn and understand technical subject matter Experience with Microsoft Office tools required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity
