Position Summary This person will perform several tasks associated with maintaining plastic injection molding process, equipment related to injection molding machines, servo robots, grinders, trimming equipment, loader systems, facilities support and other. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Technician skilled duties: Injection molding process knowledge - i.e. pressures, velocity, melt, fill time, ejector bars, etc. Start and stop of injection molding equipment. Install/remove molds, trim dies, grinders, and other auxiliary equipment to make plastic parts. Troubleshoot, correct, repair, and optimize injection molding machines, robots (move/initialize), trim dies and all support equipment for molding operations (thermolators, loader system, grinders, conveyors, etc). The individual will respond to various equipment conditions, analyze the situation for root cause, and apply the appropriate skill to resolve the issue. Operate fork truck to complete tasks such as pulling and setting molds, changing trim dies, etc. Read, record, and monitor instructions, formulas, and processing graphs of machine operational data. Occasionally assist with preventative maintenance on molds and equipment. Demonstrate and promote safe work practices and standards consistent with all OSHA and Energizer internal safety policies and procedures including lock out tag out (LOTO) Interact and assist colleagues to help them with molding problems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school or GED 5 or more years of work experience with plastic injection molding and facilities equipment as described previously. Must be legally authorized to work full time in the US. Tow motor and scissor lift experience is a plus.ADDITIONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic math to solve problems Mechanical and electrical aptitude Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving abilities Communication - oral and written Basic knowledge using computers Be self-directing as this position could be the sole resource for the shift.Personal attributes including:
