Be responsible for, or assist a superior in, the requisition, inventory, distribution, and control of naloxone for the Community First Responder Program. Deliver bulk naloxone orders to community partner organizations across the State of Rhode Island following review of individual requests for eligibility. Assist the Program Director, Manager and Coordinator in program evaluation initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of materials for institutional review processes.Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist a licensed pharmacist in the preparation of pharmaceutical orders involving the delivery or mailing of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies. Deliver or mail medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain a temperature controlled perpetual inventory of naloxone located at a central location for distribution to community non-profit partners and a separate 5,000 kit emergency supply as directed by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Review community partner requests for bulk naloxone in REDCap to ensure organizations are in good standing to distribute naloxone to the public while meeting minimum reporting requirements. Maintain a schedule for and conduct delivery service of naloxone to community non-profit partners approved by the Program Manager and/or Program Coordinator. Prepare attestations of receipt and maintain records for inventory reporting including tracking of lot numbers and expiration date. Assist the Program Manager and Program Coordinator in data entry into the REDCap system for naloxone distributed directly to the public by the Community First Responder Program. Assist the Program Manager and Program Coordinator in data entry into the ArcGIS for naloxone distributed directly to the public by the Community First Responder Program. Assist the Program Manager and Program Coordinator with oversight of pharmacy student activities at community outreach events; ensuring adherence to program protocols, safety procedures, and professional standards. Assist with collection, organization, and preliminary analysis of program data related to mail-order service requests and participant satisfaction surveys. Assist with preparation and submission of project materials to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), including data documentation and supporting materials. Prepare and affix labels with required information on medication containers. Remove outdated drugs and, under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, either destroy them following established procedures or package the drug supplies for shipment to drug manufacturer or distributor for exchange or credit. Assist in determining appropriate inventory levels of naloxone, educational materials, and mailing supplies and to notify Program Director or Program Manager when levels appear low. Prepare, maintain, and enter data records utilizing various computer software programs, including but not limited to QS/1 NRx OnDemand, for the purpose of inventory control, purchase records, receipt records, repackaging records, supplies dispensed by licensed pharmacists, outdated drugs removed and destroyed or returned, and patient pharmacy profiles. As required, unpack, sort, and check incoming pharmaceutical shipments including bulk orders and store supplies in centralized storage area or another storage location in accordance with specific instructions and standard procedures. Assist in maintaining sanitary conditions within the pharmacy. Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in accordance with institutional policies.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evidence of successful passage of the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam and ability to maintain certification. Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician II in the State of Rhode Island.
