Actuarial Analyst I (Mid-Level) USAA - United Services Automobile Association Insurance Colorado Springs, CO - USA Specialist Show compensation Apply now Save position Experteer Overview In this remote-eligible actuarial role, you apply advanced methodologies to tackle unstructured problems and support business decisions. You will work within the Modeling Factory and Insights & Development teams to translate problems into technical requirements, run models, and communicate insights to leadership. The position emphasizes risk management, data-driven analysis, and process improvements within a mission-focused financial services environment. You will mentor teammates and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency and governance.

comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) and pension life insurance parental benefits and adoption assistance paid time off with holidays plus volunteering hours wellness programs Responsibilities Apply complex actuarial methods to unstructured projects and data analyses Run catastrophe models, interpret results, and support rate level indications Create and deliver training on actuarial tools and processes Identify compliance gaps and suggest process improvements Lead unit initiatives and act as a technical SME across cross-functional efforts Communicate insights to diverse audiences including executive leadership Ensure risks are identified, measured, and controlled per policies and procedures Key requirements Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related actuarial/analytical experience 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams within 2 away from ACAS credential or VEEs completed Competency with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques for decision-making Intermediate data analysis skills with Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools or equivalent Experience communicating complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences creative and innovative mindset clear communication ability to influence and collaborate Python R SQL
