Job Description

Our client is a profitable, rapidly growing health insurer seeking an experienced employer medical stop-loss specialist to help build its developing ASO and self-funded offering. This is a highly visible individual-contributor opportunity with responsibility for shaping the company's specific and aggregate stop-loss pricing strategy . The successful candidate will become the internal subject-matter expert, with considerable influence over pricing methodologies, processes and systems. You'll review and improve the existing pricing model, advise on deductibles, attachment points and coverage structures, provide current market intelligence and help incorporate stop-loss pricing into the company's proprietary rating platform. You'll also partner closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Sales as the ASO portfolio grows. Requirements ASA or FSA credentialed Actuary would be preferred although experienced stop-loss underwriters will also be considered Employer medical stop-loss experience Strong knowledge of specific and aggregate coverage . Hands-on stop-loss pricing or underwriting experience. Experience reviewing and improving pricing models, assumptions and processes.
