Life Pricing Actuary - Individual Life Products This role offers the opportunity to play a key leadership position within a growing life and annuity organization focused on long-term stability, thoughtful innovation, and strong values. Role Overview This individual will lead and support initiatives related to the design, pricing, and evaluation of individual life insurance products, with a strong emphasis on indexed and fixed/traditional life offerings. The role combines hands-on actuarial work with oversight of supporting resources and close partnership across product, distribution, and innovation teams to ensure new products and features align with financial objectives, risk parameters, and broader business strategy. Responsibilities span product design, actuarial modeling, pricing analysis, regulatory support, and evaluation of sales concepts. The role also involves presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and mentoring junior actuarial staff. This position follows an onsite model, with an expectation of being in the office four days per week during core days (Monday through Thursday). Work schedule expectations may evolve with advance notice. Key Responsibilities Develop and oversee actuarial models to support pricing, profitability analysis, and sensitivity testing Analyze and refine pricing assumptions for new and existing life products Tackle complex product and pricing challenges with a strategic, solutions-oriented approach Assess competitive product features and market positioning Present product designs, pricing outcomes, and actuarial insights to senior leadership, distribution partners, and governance committees Train, mentor, and oversee actuarial students and analysts Coordinate and review work performed by external consultants Partner with policy form teams to prepare and review actuarial materials for regulatory filings and state approvals Prepare and review product specifications, actuarial memoranda, and required documentation Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements Review marketing and sales materials as needed Provide ad hoc actuarial support across the business Qualifications 6+ years of relevant actuarial experience, with strong preference for pricing experience in Individual Life products (especially Indexed UL) Active actuarial credentials required (FSA or career ASA) Deep knowledge of life insurance products and benefits, including valuation, nonforfeiture, illustration regulations, and 7702/7702A requirements Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
