Job Description

A leading insurance organization is seeking an AVP & Actuary, Annuity Analytics to take on a highly visible leadership role within the actuarial function. This position will drive enterprise-level annuity analytics, support valuation and earnings analysis, and partner closely with finance and business leaders to deliver actionable insights that shape strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned ASA/FSA to step into a high-impact role overseeing analytics, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives across the annuity business. Key Responsibilities Lead actuarial and financial analysis across a wide range of business initiatives and ad hoc requests Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders Oversee and enhance core analytics, reporting processes, and methodologies Partner with finance and business teams on projections, earnings analysis, and strategic planning Develop frameworks that balance growth, profitability, and retention Present findings and recommendations to senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders Lead and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, providing coaching and technical guidance Drive process improvements and ensure timely, accurate documentation of actuarial work Support key initiatives including pricing, regulatory (VM-22), and M&A due diligence Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field 10-12+ years of actuarial experience ASA or FSA designation preferred Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams Strong background in actuarial modeling, analytics, and financial analysis Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences Why Apply High-visibility leadership role with direct impact on business strategy Opportunity to shape and advance analytics capabilities across a growing annuity platform Collaborative environment with exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
