Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Train Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for enabling over 20 teams on a large Enterprise Agile Release Train of approximately 250 people to learn, implement, and mature Lean-Agile principles and practices. The ideal candidate will be focused on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth by coordinating and facilitating ART ceremonies, managing dependencies, and providing visibility into the health of epic and feature delivery.

Responsibilities:

Guide and coach the teams on the Agile Release Train on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles define norms/agreements for the ART and enforce the agreements

Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremonies (for example, Backlog Refinement, Program Increment (PI) Planning, ART Sync or PO Sync, Scrum of Scrums), System Demos, and Retrospective

In collaboration with the Product Manager, ensure the program has a healthy product/program backlog

Promote/facilitatemunication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PImitments

Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities

Drive measurable improvements in software delivery speed and quality by coaching teams to analyze established efficiency metrics, identify root causes, and implement targeted process and engineering improvements

Mentor more junior Scrum Masters

Provide guidance about how to create and manage an intake process, healthy backlog, and how to facilitate valuable Agile ceremonies align teams to enterprise Agile standards and practices, and coach team members through change

Requirements:
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certified with 5-7 years prior Lean Agile Release Train experience
  • 5-7 years of experience as an Agile Coach in a Financial Enterprise
  • 3-5 years of experience coaching software-delivery teams to analyze performance metrics, address delivery constraints, and improve speed and quality
  • Proficiency in JIRA
  • Experienced in working with geographically distributed teams
  • Proficient knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework and ability to ensure the program and portfolio level stakeholders adopt these practices
Desired skills:

Adept at Agile Work Management tools such as JIRA

Experience providing leadership skills for driving an Agile Release Train (ART) using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Expert facilitator - will be responsible for facilitating feature refinement, prioritization, other ART ceremonies and Team level ceremonies

Prior experience in leading all SAFe ceremonies: Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums (SoS), ART Sync meetings, Solution Demos and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops

Capability and mindset to be a servant leader of a Release Train and responsible for listening to and removing impediments for geographically distributed scrum teams

Experience as a Coach working with multiple teams

Pay range: $74.51 - $82.51 per hour
