The hiring leader is looking for candidates who have done transformations (team and program levels), not just team coaching. Communication and change management is also really integral.
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Agile Coach to lead and facilitate enterprise-wide Agile transformations at the team and program levels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing large-scale Agile initiatives, guiding teams through cultural shifts, and fostering Agile mindsets within diverse organizations. This role involves coaching, training, and mentoring at all organizational levels, with a focus on effective communication and change management. Candidates must possess strong expertise in scaling Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and XP, and be capable of influencing senior leadership and stakeholders to achieve transformational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to adopt and sustain Agile principles, including Scrum, SAFe, and Lean practices. Coach organizational leaders and teams on Agile values, frameworks, and practices to ensure successful enterprise transformations. Develop and deliver targeted Agile training sessions, workshops, and communication artifacts to promote Agile maturity across the organization. Identify and nurture Agile evangelists within teams to foster ongoing cultural change and continuous improvement. Monitor Agile project metrics to identify risks and facilitate corrective actions. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine training needs and tailor coaching strategies accordingly. Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Drive alignment between teams and leadership around Agile implementation, progress, and impediments. Influence and motivate teams and leadership to embrace and sustain Agile practices, emphasizing the importance of change management. Promote collaboration, transparency, and risk management throughout Agile initiatives. Continuously assess and improve Agile processes, tools, and practices to enhance organizational agility.
Required Skills/Education:
5-10 years of experience in Agile coaching, with demonstrated success in large-scale enterprise transformations. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, XP, and DevOps. Proven ability to coach teams and leadership through cultural and process change. Experience working with Agile tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Strong emotional intelligence, organizational awareness, and influence without authority. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; master's degree preferred. Certification such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) is a plus.
