Senior Director of Reporting & Analytics Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervises the work of assigned employees, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations Provides leadership for a broad range of comprehensive activities in the areas of institutional research, data governance, enterprise data management, survey research, business intelligence and data analytics to support university's mission and data-informed decision making, planning, and resource allocation efforts Provides information to comply with state and federal guidelines, accrediting agencies, and other external agency requirements Oversees the creation and maintenance of university and executive dashboards and internal reports that are used by campus leaders to drive actions and improvement strategies Directs the administration of institutional surveys and provides consulting services for the design, data collection, and analysis of surveys Performs and oversees complex statistical and advanced analytical tasks using statistical software Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of query tools and applicable software Knowledge of research methods, data management, assessment, institutional reporting, business intelligence, and data driven decision making Skill in overseeing the design and development of dashboards and reports to meet stakeholder needs Skill in identifying opportunities for system improvements and implementing workflow automation solutions Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to anticipate and address organizational data needs in alignment with institutional goals Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in related field 5 years of relevant experience Equivalent combination of experience & education may be considered Job Level Overview Management and People Leadership Level 2 - Manages the operations of a function within a department. Shapes overall success within team or department through planning, coordination, resource allocation, strategy execution, and determination of staffing to ensure achievement of operational results. Additional Details The Senior Director of Reporting and Analytics will shape the future of data-driven strategy within RIT's Division of University Advancement. This visionary leader will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of all analytical and reporting processes-empowering teams across the division with actionable insights through Salesforce CRMA, Lightning Reports, Power BI, and other advanced tools. A collaborative partner and thought leader, the Senior Director will work closely with staff and leadership to transform complex data into clarity-enhancing decision-making, uncovering opportunities, and driving meaningful outcomes. By staying at the forefront of fundraising analytics trends and engaging in benchmarking with peer institutions, this role will champion innovation and best practices that elevate RIT's advancement efforts and strengthen its impact on the university community.
