The Opportunity The Sr. Analyst, AI Billing & Data Intelligence is responsible for establishing and maintaining the data, billing, and consumption intelligence foundation that enables AI financial management, chargeback, cost transparency, and governance across MetLife's Technology and business functions. This role ensures the accuracy of AI usage and billing data, provides visibility into consumption trends and cost drivers, and delivers actionable insights that support investment decisions, optimization opportunities, and responsible scaling of AI capabilities across the enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a foundational capability for MetLife's AI transformation by creating the data transparency, operational insights, and financial intelligence needed to manage and maximize the value of AI investments at enterprise scale. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain AI billing, metering, and consumption data models to support enterprise reporting, chargeback/showback, and financial transparency across AI platforms. Manage and reconcile AI usage, token consumption, and billing data across multiple vendors and platforms, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and auditability. Deliver dashboards, reporting, and analytics that provide visibility into AI costs, utilization trends, cost drivers, efficiency metrics, and budget performance. Identify and investigate consumption anomalies, cost variances, and optimization opportunities, partnering with AI Product Owners, Platform Owners, and Finance teams to drive informed decisions. Support the development of AI allocation, forecasting, governance, and value realization processes by translating complex consumption data into actionable business insights. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, technology business management (TBM), FinOps, cost management, data analytics, or a related discipline within a technology organization. Demonstrated experience managing large datasets, performing data reconciliation, and translating consumption, billing, and financial data into actionable business insights. Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms and developer tools, and the financial models used to allocate, govern, and optimize AI investments (tool examples include GitHub, Claude, and OpenAI). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms. Experience partnering with technology, finance, and business stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, allocation, and reporting processes. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience analyzing and reporting on AI platform consumption data, including token usage, credits, metering outputs, utilization trends, and cost drivers. Knowledge of TBM, FinOps, or technology financial management frameworks, including chargeback/showback, cost transparency, and value realization practices. #LI-WRAPJOB
Location Expectation:
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $110,000- $161,600 .
