Position Responsibilities:

Oversee a team of data scientists and business analysts working to build largescale, distributed systems to increase effectiveness of Amazon's abuse detection systems. Define key business goals. Aggregate data from multiple sources to inform decision making. Manage and quantify improvement in customer experience resulting from research outcomes. Develop and manage a long-term research vision and portfolio of research initiatives, with algorithms and models that have been successfully integrated into production systems. Mentor junior scientists. 40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $196,914/year to $236,900/year. Amazon is a total compensation company. Basic Qualifications Position Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and three years of experience. Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) managing data scientists or machine learning scientists; (2) managing cross‐functional projects; (3) working with machine learning techniques, generative AI, foundation models data mining, and data visualization, data infrastructure, and big data technologies; (4) experience with machine learning operations and production deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and (5) utilizing R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting languages.#0000 Preferred Qualifications Please see job description and the position requirements above.
