AI Software Engineer (LLM / RAG)

Full-Time We are seeking an AI Software Engineer to build innovative AI-driven solutions focused on processing unstructured medical data and improving workflow automation. This is an opportunity to own projects from concept through production and play a key role in designing and implementing next-generation AI capabilities within our software platform. What You'll Do Design and develop AI-powered applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. Build solutions that process and analyze unstructured medical data, including PDFs, scanned documents, images, and handwritten notes. Create tools that streamline the creation, customization, and validation of medical forms. Design systems that transform user-generated requests into actionable reports within our existing platform. Evaluate and improve AI model performance through prompt engineering, output validation, and hallucination mitigation techniques. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents, or similar AI technologies. Strong proficiency in Python and/or C#. Experience working with vector databases such as ChromaDB, Pinecone, Azure AI Search, or similar technologies. Experience designing and implementing production-grade retrieval pipelines for unstructured data. Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context management, model evaluation, and response validation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated initiative and the ability to independently architect and deliver solutions from the ground up. Preferred Qualifications Experience with LangChain, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar AI development frameworks. Experience with C#, TypeScript, SQL, and MVC-based web application architectures. Experience integrating AI functionality into existing enterprise software platforms. Interest in staying current with emerging AI technologies, technical research, and open-source projects.
