This role will work closely with departments across the company to understand existing workflows, identify repetitive or manual tasks, and develop practical technology solutions. The ideal candidate combines technical skills with an understanding of business operations and can turn employee needs into reliable, easy-to-use tools. The primary focus is applying existing AI technologies, building integrations, and developing automated solutions that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and help employees spend more time on higher-value responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Evaluate workflows across departments to identify opportunities for AI, automation, and process improvement. Partner with employees and department leaders to understand business needs, define project requirements, and prioritize solutions based on impact and feasibility. Design, build, and implement automated workflows that reduce repetitive tasks, duplicate data entry, and administrative work. Develop AI-powered tools that support activities such as document processing, information retrieval, reporting, and internal communication. Connect existing business systems using APIs, integrations, and custom scripts to improve how information moves between platforms. Create automated reports, dashboards, alerts, and notifications that improve visibility and support decision-making. Test and validate solutions for accuracy, reliability, security, and ease of use before implementation. Monitor implemented solutions, troubleshoot issues, and make improvements based on performance and employee feedback. Research and recommend technology that aligns with Foxtrot's operational needs and budget. Document workflows, integrations, technical configurations, and user instructions. Train employees and support the adoption of new tools and processes. Help develop guidelines for the appropriate and secure use of AI, including protection of confidential company, employee, and customer information. Track results to demonstrate improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and time savings. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience developing and implementing workflow automations, system integrations, or AI-enabled business solutions. Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language used for scripting and automation. Experience working with APIs and connecting business applications. Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis. Familiarity with generative AI tools, large language models, and their practical applications and limitations. Ability to evaluate business processes and translate operational needs into technical solutions. Strong troubleshooting, project management, and organizational skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge. Understanding of data privacy, access controls, and secure handling of business information. Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with multiple departments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, Power BI, or similar platforms. Experience integrating AI services through APIs and developing tools that use internal documents or business data. Experience with business systems supporting HR, accounting, dispatch, inventory, fleet, or field operations. Background in construction, facilities maintenance, field services, or another operationally focused industry. Experience training users and supporting the rollout of new technology. Candidates do not need experience with every platform listed. We value the ability to understand a business problem, select the right tools, and deliver a practical solution. What Success Looks Like Identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve workflows across Foxtrot. Delivering reliable tools and automations that employees use in their daily work. Reducing manual tasks and duplicate data entry while improving accuracy. Providing clear documentation, training, and ongoing support. Demonstrating measurable improvements in efficiency and time savings.
