An Artificial Intelligence Engineer develops, tests, and deploys artificial intelligence models. May work closely with data software engineers and data professionals to train and implement AI models into existing systems or develop new applications.
The Senior AI Solutions Engineer will design, develop, deploy, and optimize secure, scalable AI applications using modern cloud platforms and large language models. This position will manage the full solution lifecycle, including cloud infrastructure, system integration, API access, security, data privacy, responsible AI practices, performance monitoring, and cost optimization, with a strong preference for experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Other responsibilities include:
Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications using large language models and modern AI platforms. Integrate AI capabilities into new and existing enterprise systems, applications, and workflows. Provision, configure, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure supporting AI workloads. Develop and manage APIs, data connections, authentication methods, and access controls for AI services. Evaluate and select appropriate AI models, platforms, tools, and technical approaches based on mission requirements. Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and other techniques to improve solution accuracy and usefulness. Establish security controls that protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access or disclosure. Ensure AI solutions comply with applicable data privacy, cybersecurity, governance, and Responsible AI requirements. Monitor solution performance, reliability, availability, usage, and operating costs. Optimize model performance, API consumption, and cloud resources to improve efficiency and control expenses. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement improvements throughout the AI solution lifecycle. Develop and maintain system architecture, configuration, security, operating, and technical documentation. Collaborate with customers, developers, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective AI solutions. Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Due to customer requirements, U.S Citizenship is required. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Security Clearance for duration of employment. Bachelor's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science. 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks.
Salary:
the expected pay range for this position is $85,280 to $114,400 but is subject to change.
