ABOUT THE ROLE ASC
is looking for an AI Implementation Specialist to help shape how we use artificial intelligence across the organization. This is a unique ground-floor opportunity to explore new technology and turn ideas into practical solutions that improve how our teams work. You'll partner with leadership, engineering, and operations to build automations, AI assistants, predictive tools, and smarter workflows that solve real manufacturing challenges. You'll also help introduce new tools, train employees, and establish best practices for responsible AI use. We're looking for someone curious, technically capable, and excited to build, test, and improve AI solutions. Personal projects, internships, and academic experience are all valued.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with department leaders to identify manufacturing processes, workflows, and systems where AI and automation can improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making. Researches, evaluates, and recommends AI tools and platforms, including large language models, machine learning, video and audio generators, and computer vision to meet ASC's operational needs. Builds, configures, and deploys AI solutions such as workflow automations, chatbots and assistants, and predictive models, and integrates them with existing systems. Develops workflows and integrations to link AI tools with ASC's data and applications. Runs pilot projects and proofs of concept, measures results, and scales successful solutions across the organization. Tests, monitors, and troubleshoots AI systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistent performance. Trains and supports employees on new AI tools, driving adoption and building AI literacy across teams. Documents AI solutions, processes, and best practices, and helps establish internal standards and guidelines for responsible AI use. Ensures AI implementations comply with company policies, data security requirements, and applicable safety and regulatory standards. Analyzes data from Appward to surface insights and improvement strategies. Stays current on emerging AI tools, trends, and best practices, and proactively brings new ideas to the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. No formal work experience required; internships, academic work, or personal projects that demonstrate AI skills are a strong plus. Advanced skill using AI tools, including ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Caude, and Gemini. Basic knowledge of app development and comfort working with APIs, data, and new software. Fluency in SQL databases and query construction is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Curiosity, adaptability, and a self-starter attitude, with genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to real-world problems.
