This AI Engineer position is a highly technical role focused on designing, building, and scaling production-ready AI applications that power real business and customer-facing experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on expertise developing AI systems, with a particular focus on integrating large language models into robust backend architectures using modern engineering practices. This is not a role for someone whose AI experience is limited to using ChatGPT or experimenting with prompts. The organization is seeking an engineer who has built, deployed, operated, and optimized AI-powered applications in production environments. You'll work across the full lifecycle of AI systems, from architecture and model orchestration through deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Required Skills & Experience For this particular role, we're really looking for people who have specific experience designing and engineering AI applications Strong software engineering experience building backend applications and distributed systems using Java, Kotlin, or similar backend technologies Hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI applications that leverage LLMs, GenAI services, or AI agents Knowledge of AI application architecture, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, model orchestration, and context management Experience monitoring, evaluating, debugging, and optimizing AI systems in production environments What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown Generative AI & Large Language Models Java Kotlin AI Application Development Microservices Architecture Cloud Infrastructure AI Evaluation, Monitoring & Observability Backend Services & APIs Daily Responsibilities Design and develop production-grade AI applications and intelligent services
