Full Time Overview of the Role My client is a venture backed startup based in New York that is building AI-powered solutions for the financial services industry. They are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help design, build and scale the next generation of their AI platform and product capabilities. This role is focused on developing production grade AI applications, with a particular emphasis on multi-agent systems, intelligent workflows and AI-driven automation. The successful candidate will have experience operating in fast-paced startup environments and be comfortable taking ownership of products from concept through to production.

Startup Experience Required:

Experience working in Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, Series B, or Series C companies. Responsibilities Design, build and deploy production grade AI applications. Develop and scale multi-agent systems and agent orchestration frameworks. Build intelligent workflows, automation capabilities and AI-driven user experiences. Develop scalable Python services and backend applications. Work closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to define and deliver new AI capabilities. Contribute to platform architecture and engineering best practices. Improve system reliability, performance and scalability across AI services. Support the deployment and operation of AI solutions in production environments. Requirements 5+ years of experience building production grade AI systems. Strong Python engineering and software development experience. Hands-on experience building multi-agent systems and agentic AI applications. Experience deploying AI solutions into production environments. Strong AWS experience and knowledge of cloud native architectures. Experience working with LLMs, RAG architectures and agent orchestration frameworks. Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems and scalable backend development. Experience working in startup environments, ideally from Pre-Seed through Series C. Proven experience building and scaling products in high growth companies. Comfortable taking ownership in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non technical stakeholders.
