With offices in the US, India, and the UK and future international growth planned, we are a fast-paced organization with a global mindset. Streamliners offers comprehensive management consulting services focusing on rapid efficiency improvements, operational excellence, and fast turnarounds. We specialize in optimizing manufacturing, assembly, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, workforce levels, and freight operations to drive significant cost savings and performance improvements. Streamliners Studio is the innovation lab for Streamliners Management Consulting. What We Do Streamliners Studio builds custom AI-powered software for the operational problems that matter — the ones living in manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and supply chains. We don't sell dashboards nobody uses. We ship tools that directly improve EBITDA for clients who run real operations. This role sits at the intersection of that work: part diagnostician, part builder, part trusted advisor. The Role As an AI Consultant, you'll own the end-to-end process of translating a client's operational pain into working software. That means getting into the weeds of their process, identifying where intelligent automation creates measurable leverage, and then designing and delivering the application that solves it. You're not handing work off to engineers — you're doing the work, with support from an operations technical team. This is not a generic AI advisory role. You'll be in production environments (physical and digital), talking to plant managers and logistics directors, and then writing specs and building solutions the same week. Responsibilities Engage directly with operations and supply chain clients to assess workflows, identify inefficiency, and define software solution requirements Design bespoke AI-powered applications targeting logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain use cases — demand forecasting, route optimization, capacity planning, anomaly detection, and beyond Select and configure appropriate technology stacks, AI/ML frameworks, and integration approaches for each engagement Build or co-build functional prototypes and production applications in rapid-cycle sprints Translate operational data (ERP outputs, WMS logs, spreadsheet chaos) into clean inputs for AI models Present solution architectures and implementation plans to client stakeholders at all levels, from floor supervisors to C-suite Maintain a working knowledge of the AI tool landscape — models, APIs, frameworks, and emerging methodologies — and apply the right one for the job Document engagements thoroughly and contribute to the Studio knowledge base for repeatable delivery patterns Requirements Experience 3-7 years of professional experience in a SaaS company as a software developer, technical product manager, or solutions engineer Demonstrated experience in at least one of: manufacturing operations, supply chain management, logistics, or operations research Hands-on experience building or shipping software products — not just scoping them Education Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related) Advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus (MBA with technical focus, APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP, etc.) Technical Skills Comfortable across modern web and backend technology stacks (Python, APIs, cloud platforms, databases) Working knowledge of AI/ML methodologies: supervised/unsupervised learning, LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks Proficient with AI development tools: OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, LangChain or equivalent, vector databases, and relevant data science libraries Able to read, write, and reason about code — you don't need to be a senior engineer, but you cannot be a black box to the engineers you work with Soft Skills Strong communicator who can explain a neural network to a warehouse manager and a ROI model to a CFO — in the same day Comfortable with ambiguity; able to scope a problem from a messy client conversation Bias toward shipping — you'd rather show a working prototype than a 40-slide deck Self-directed and accountable in a remote or hybrid environment Bonus Points Experience with operations research methods (linear programming, simulation, optimization) Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle WMS, etc.) Prior consulting or client-facing services experience Contributions to open-source AI or data projects What You're Signing Up For You'll work on problems that actually matter to the people running them. No internal tooling theater, no enterprise software that collects dust. The clients we work with are measuring results in throughput, cost-per-unit, and on-time delivery — and so are we. If that sounds like the kind of accountability you want, this is the right seat. Streamliners Studio is an equal opportunity employer.
