AI Software Engineer - 176832

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AI Software Developer to support a company focused on modernizing air traffic management systems through a hybrid cloud automation platform within the aviation and government technology sector. This position is hybrid in Gaithersburg, MD requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. The AI Software Developer will lead the design, development, and modernization of microservices-based applications supporting mission-critical, real-time operational systems. Responsibilities for the AI Software Developer include:

Lead Agile sprint planning, technical execution, and delivery of software development objectivesDesign, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practicesCollaborate with product owners, systems engineers, architects, DevSecOps teams, and developers within a SAFe Agile environmentDevelop and integrate APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and cloud-native services while supporting CI/CD pipelinesUtilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, and software quality improvementsRequired Qualifications for the AI Software Developer include:4-8+ years of software development experienceHands-on experience developing and supporting microservices-based systemsStrong programming experience with Java, C++, Python, or similar object-oriented languages in Linux environmentsExperience using AI-assisted development tools, AI/ML-enabled systems, automation platforms, or intelligent software solutionsExperience working within Agile development environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigationBachelor's DegreeCompensation for the AI Software Developer includes:

Salary Range:

$90,000-150,000
