Grow with a new AI practice. Some people use AI. Others cannot stop building with it. If you experiment, automate, connect systems, and keep learning because you are curious about what is possible, this role may be for you. What We're Building For more than 30 years, Andromeda has helped manufacturers use technology to improve their businesses. We are now launching an AI practice focused on where AI creates real business value—and where it does not. You will work directly with our CEO, helping build solutions from day one while growing into greater technical ownership as our AI practice evolves. What You'll Do Build internal AI tools that improve Andromeda's efficiency. Prototype automations and integrations using AI, APIs, MCP servers, and modern platforms. Research emerging technologies and determine whether they solve real business problems. Help design and build client-facing AI solutions as the practice grows. Document what works so successful ideas can become repeatable services. Some weeks you will build several things. Other weeks you may spend most of your time learning or proving that an idea will not work. Both are valuable. Who We're Looking For You build things because you enjoy figuring them out. You don't wait for someone to assign you a project. If you have an idea, you build it. You learn quickly and are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. You focus on business outcomes, not technology for its own sake. You can explain technical ideas to non-technical people. You write software in at least one modern programming language and have experience with APIs or system integrations. We care more about what you have built than how you learned. A degree is welcome, but so are self-taught skills. A GitHub profile, portfolio, or examples of AI projects, automations, integrations, or software will help us understand your abilities. Why This Role Is Different This is not a traditional engineering job with fixed requirements or one technology to master. You'll spend your time building, experimenting, and learning alongside our CEO. As the practice grows, so will your opportunities to take on greater ownership, client interaction, and technical leadership. There is no finished playbook—you will help write it. Salary $75,000-$95,000, based on your demonstrated technical ability, experience, and the quality of the solutions you have built. Excited by the role but unsure you meet every qualification? Apply anyway. The right mindset is harder to teach than the right technology.
