Job Description

Technical Co-founder Navigating EU financial regulation is a high-stakes puzzle. Firms frequently stumble not from a lack of legal advice, but because a massive disconnect forms between what the business teams are doing, what legal permits, and what compliance implements. When regulations shift, these blind spots trigger massive regulatory scrutiny. DADA OS solves this problem. We are building an intelligent compliance platform that maps a firm's active operations against complex legal obligations and internal policies in real time—automatically flagging misalignments before they turn into major liabilities. The Opportunity We are looking for a Technical Co-founder to own product, architecture, and engineering end-to-end. This is a genuine founding-stage partnership. This role is expected to evolve into a permanent technical leadership position, likely CTO, as DADA OS scales. Your co-founder brings deep legal and regulatory domain expertise—a U.S. attorney with direct EU compliance advisory experience and an active network of compliance practitioners ready to pilot the product. You bring the technical architecture and execution that turns that domain intelligence into scalable software. On day one, you will be the solo technical force on the team. Guided by the CEO and regulatory subject matter experts, you will build and launch our v1 MVP. Because this prototype is destined to become our core production foundation, you aren't just hacking together a temporary proof-of-concept. You are architecting an extensible, cloud-hosted product that can gracefully scale as you recruit and lead a full engineering team around your foundation. What You'll Own Build the V1 from
Scratch:
Own the end-to-end development of our initial platform, including a high-fidelity frontend UI, scalable data pipelines, and intelligent backend logic.
Integrate Smart AI Tooling:
Leverage modern AI APIs, frameworks, and embedding strategies to parse, categorize, and cross-reference dense regulatory texts with operational realities. Select the
Stack:
Define an extensible, modern tech stack (ideally anchored in common ecosystem languages like TypeScript or Python) that optimizes for immediate development speed while ensuring future engineer hires can easily jump in.
Drive Product Strategy:
Partner directly with the CEO to convert fluid product requirements and complex regulatory rules into concrete, interactive software, while sitting in on design partner and pilot user conversations.
Technical Hiring:
As we scale, you will define the engineering culture, set coding standards, and build out the early technical team from scratch.
Who You Are A Sovereign Builder:
You have a proven track record of standing up complex, functional web applications entirely on your own. You don't need a massive infrastructure team or a dedicated UI developer to ship features.
Pragmatically Architectural:
You know how to move at lightning speed without making fatal compromises. You inherently understand where to leverage third-party tools/BaaS for velocity and where to build robustly for the future.
AI-Native Thinker:
You are highly comfortable incorporating modern AI tools and methods into your development workflow and software architecture.
A True Partner:
You want to build a company, not join one. You are prepared to share ownership, navigate the uncertainty of a pre-funded startup, and work with a co-founder who has a different but highly complementary skill set. Location & Work Style This role is open to Remote candidates, though we have distinct tier preferences based on collaboration time zones:
Top Preference:
Candidates living in or willing to relocate to the Utah County / Silicon Slopes area for hybrid, in-person whiteboarding and fast feedback loops.
Strong Preference:
Candidates based within the United States or Canada .
International Consideration:
Candidates located within the EU and the UK, which aligns perfectly with our active regulatory networks and design partners spread across the European Union.
Global Talent:
Outstanding builders from outside of these regions will still be considered if they demonstrate an exceptional track record of autonomous, asynchronous execution. Wherever you are based, you must be comfortable navigating meaningful time zone gaps and maintaining tight collaboration loops with the founding team. A Note on Stage This is a founding-stage role. There is no product nor funding for salaries. A team of SMEs from the EU has been built to complete an MVP. Otherwise, it would be just the two of us initially. If you find a blank repo and well-defined problem interesting, we should talk.
