Job Description

AI & Emerging Technology Researcher/AI Product Architect Greenville, SC 29607 Full-time Full-time As a AI & Emerging Technology Researcher/AI Product Architect - Enterprise Copilot & AI Solutions you accelerate and support the ongoing activities in the field of IT Innovation and Emerging Technologies. Identifie and define applications of emerging technologies to address business relevant chalanges. Designs and implements prototypes of applications including front- / back-end and machine learning components. Works with different business units to understand the business demands with respect to Innovation and Emerging Technologies. Conducts advanced software engineering, analytical tasks, data preparation, machine learning models to enable and improve its IT products, services and processes. This role is located with our client in the Greenville, SC area.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, test, and position new Microsoft Copilot features within the Group AI portfolio Design and lead enterprise rollout plans for Copilot, Agents, and AI extensibility scenarios Architect solutions for Copilot Agents, agent interfaces, and enterprise knowledge experiences Define integration patterns using Microsoft Graph Connectors and Copilot Search / knowledge sources Lead complex, cross-functional AI adoption initiatives from concept to enterprise scale Analyzes business critical data / processes and recommends improvements / highlights opportunities. Works with complex data / optimization / design problems and conducts advanced analytics tasks. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques. Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Works in collaboration with internal and external teams to identify opportunities for innovation and transition them to prototype and industrialization phase. Develops custom data models and algorithms. Coordinates with different functional teams to implement solutions. Serves as internal consultant to other developers and engineers as needed, providing assistance in all phases of product life-cycle development. Advises developers and engineers on emerging IT technologies and assists the team in process matters as related to development/support and provides the necessary on the job training and development of associates/contractors within the team. Maintains accurate, meaningful and updated technical and non-technical documentation pertaining to all aspects of area(s) of responsibility. Clearly communicates requirements, progress, goals and results to business partners with various levels of technical knowledge. Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, science, mathematics/statistics or related field. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in computer science, mathematics/statistics or a related field (preferred). 5 + years prior experience working in IT / software engineering with machine learning development 5+ years of knowledge of in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, C++, C# 5+ years of experience in problem solving skills with an emphasis on IT product development Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot architecture, feature lifecycle, and rollout planning Ability to interpret new AI features and align them to enterprise use cases and product strategy Hands-on knowledge of Copilot extensibility, including agents, connectors, and data sourcing Strong architectural documentation and executive communication skills Experience leading large-scale enterprise initiatives across IT, Security, and Business teams (e.g., portfolio, roadmap, demand intake) 3+ years of knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks 3+ years of knowledge of a software engineering and architecture Process/project management experience or training/certifications (preferred).
