About the role:
The role of the AI Data Engineer - Intern is to help build and scale the company's business intelligence and AI capabilities in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This role will develop data model and API calls to AI platforms as part of SailPoint's IT Data Engineering Team. Additionally, the AI Data Engineer - Intern will assist in administering BI Tools, the Data Warehouse, and the iPaaS environment. This role requires an individual with the ability to self-teach, rapidly acquire new technologies, and troubleshoot in complex and ambiguous environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deploy agents using Google ADK Develop code for API calls to AI platforms Build and enhance data model for AI Troubleshoot user issues and work with Data Engineering and Enterprise Systems teams to resolve application bugs and problems Articulate progress, issues, and updates to management, architects, project managers, and stakeholders. Keep Jira project board up to date. Requirements or things you will learn on the job: CS, IS, BIS or Math major preferred Ability to write and tune SQL and build data models Experience with Python, familiarity w/Javascript is a plus Familiarity in at least one of the following database technologies: Redshift, Snowflake, or Big Query Familiarity with APIs (REST, SOAP), Webservices, or SCIM connectors using Python, JavaScript, etc. preferred. Good communication skills with the ability to gather stakeholder requirements and coordinate regularly with business partners to deliver solutions Must have a strong attention to detail Ability to collaborate well with others in a fast past environment Compensation varies based on your level of education from high school to Masters and the role applied for. The reasonably estimated hourly rate for interns at SailPoint ranges from (USD): $15 - $35.00 Benefits Overview 1.Financial security:
