Generative AI Full Job Description Position Title:
Senior AI Software Engineer Role Summary We are seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to drive the design, architecture, and production delivery of modern AI-driven platforms. In this role, you will apply senior-level software engineering discipline to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and scalable enterprise systems. The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering experience—with a proven track record of shipping production software—with hands-on expertise in generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent architectures. W-2
Only:
Direct W-2 applicants only (No C2C / No Subcontracting / No 1099).
No Sponsorship:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Key Responsibilities Production AI Architecture:
Architect, build, and ship scalable, production-grade software applications that integrate machine learning models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and complex AI workflows.
Multi-Agent Systems & Agentic Workflows:
Design and implement multi-agent orchestration systems (e.g., CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph) capable of autonomous task execution, tool use, memory management, and multi-step reasoning.
Full Lifecycle Product Delivery:
Own end-to-end features from concept through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, ensuring high availability, sub-second latencies, and security compliance.
RAG & Knowledge Retrieval:
Build and optimize production RAG pipelines utilizing hybrid search, reranking, vector databases, and custom data connectors to maximize retrieval accuracy and eliminate hallucinations.
Production MLOps & Evaluation:
Implement robust evaluation, testing, and observability frameworks to monitor model performance, latency, token costs, drift, and agent decision-making in live environments.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
Partner with product managers, data engineers, and architects to translate complex business problems into modular, production-ready AI systems.
6+ years of professional software development experience (Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, or C++) with a proven track record of architecting and shipping complex software products to production. Generative
AI & LLM
Engineering:
1-2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying generative AI capabilities into production applications.
Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector), chunking strategies, embeddings, and hybrid search methods.
Cloud & DevOps:
Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and asynchronous task queues.
API & System Design:
Expertise in REST, gRPC, GraphQL, web sockets, and designing clean interfaces for AI model consumption.
Preferred / Nice
-to-Have Skills Experience with fine-tuning, PEFT/LoRA, or deploying open-source models (e.g., Llama, Mistral) on custom infrastructure. Familiarity with AI observability, tracing, and evaluation tools (e.g., LangSmith, Phoenix, Arize, Weights & Biases). Knowledge of guardrails, prompt security, data privacy, and compliance frameworks for enterprise AI.
Pay:
$70.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s):
Work Authorization:
Are you legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring present or future employer visa sponsorship? (Yes/No)
