In this role, you will work on medical image processing and computer vision applications, including object detection, image segmentation, and image inpainting. You will contribute to the full AI development process—from data preparation and model training to evaluation, fine-tuning, and performance optimization. Working closely with our engineering team, you will help turn AI concepts into practical solutions for spine surgery while building your expertise in medical robotics and AI. Responsibilities Develop AI algorithms for medical software applications, such as object detection, image segmentation, image inpainting (LaMa), and other computer vision applications. Independently develop and improve AI solutions for medical software applications, including data preparation and labeling, model training, evaluation, fine-tuning, and performance optimization. Analyze model performance, troubleshoot issues, and experiment with different approaches to improve AI performance. Collaborate with other engineers to explore innovative AI applications for medical software and turn ideas into practical AI solutions. Requirements Good programming skills in Python. Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning. Hands-on experience with PyTorch or a similar deep learning framework. Experience training, evaluating, and fine-tuning AI models, with the ability to analyze model performance and make adjustments to improve results. Nice to Have Experience with computer vision and OpenCV. Experience with object detection, image segmentation, or image inpainting.
