Data Scientist - AI We have an opportunity for a Data Scientist to join our Data & AI team in Tacoma, United States, reporting to the Director, Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will turn complex business questions into clear, data-driven insights and decision frameworks that shape Infoblox's product strategy, growth programs, and executive operating rhythms. Collaborating closely with Product, Data & AI, and Architecture teams, you will build forecasting models, Agentic SDLC capabilities, and AI-powered decision support that help evolve the way we build and ship software. Be a Contributor — What You'll Do Design and architect scalable Generative AI systems, including product pilots and internal AI tools, from concept to production. Build, validate, and maintain AI agents and multi-agent workflows leveraging MCP tools and harnesses. Prototype rapidly, validate with customers, and iterate to deliver Agentic AI features. Translate executive and strategic questions into structured analytical problems, hypotheses, and measurable success metrics aligned with Infoblox's strategic priorities. Use AI and GenAI tools (e.g., AI-assisted coding, GenAI copilots, and RAG-based knowledge search) to accelerate feature development, automate recurring workflows, and build AI-powered decision-support solutions while adhering to Infoblox's responsible AI guidelines. Champion data literacy and AI adoption across the organization by developing reusable AI agents, playbooks, and training materials. Influence cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver results without relying on formal authority. Be Prepared — What You Bring 2+ years of experience in data science, software engineering, or advanced analytics focused on engineering, business strategy, or product challenges in SaaS environments. Demonstrated experience building AI agents, multi-agent systems, or LLM-powered applications. Thrive in ambiguous environments and proactively identify opportunities with minimal guidance. Strong hands-on programming skills in Python (or R), along with proficiency in SQL for querying large, complex datasets. Experience with modern analytics and ML platforms such as Databricks or similar environments is preferred. Comfortable using AI and GenAI tools as productivity multipliers, with a solid understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, bias mitigation, human-in-the-loop systems, and governance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. An MS degree is preferred but not required. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and influence senior leaders. Be Successful — Your Path First 90
