Hiring:
Bioinformatics Scientist (San Francisco) Vivo HealthStaff is currently recruiting on behalf of an innovative, dynamic client in South San Francisco! We are looking for a highly motivated Bioinformatics Scientist who wants to be a builder
•someone ready to create impactful, scalable bioinformatics products used by thousands, rather than just performing routine tasks in a highly structured R D environment. If you are a proactive leader with a strong background in microbial genomics and a track record of independent, impactful projects, we want to hear from you!
Compensation & Logistics Salary:
$170,000
•$190,000 / year
Location:
South San Francisco, CA (
Hybrid:
3 days onsite/week required)
Relocation:
Relocation package available!

What We're Looking For Education:
PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience developing production bioinformatics pipelines, with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience (Candidates with only academic experience will not be considered).
Product Focus:
Proven experience contributing to actual bioinformatics products, going beyond just building pipelines.
Specialized Expertise:
Strong background in one or more of the following (Microbial Genomics is highly preferred): Microbial genomics (assembly/metagenomics) Variant calling / large-scale genomics Bulk/single-cell RNA-seq
