Emovis is part of Abertis Mobility Solutions (AMS) - a leading Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) & Electronic Tolling System (ETS) integrator. Emovis currently conducts business operations various US states.

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) reports to the Data Scientist to support the organization's overall objective of pursuing and implementing robust and efficient operations that are assisted by comprehensive reporting and analytics solutions. The BIE is responsible for getting data from different data sources, automate the extraction of information, monitoring, and analysing operational data, extracting business trends, and developing reports for management information, subsequently serving as the basis for tactical and strategic decision-making.

RESPONSABILITIES

Participate actively in the design and implementation of the Business Intelligence platform and reports for CTIO and other Emovis projects. Engage with different subject matter experts and stakeholders for the definition and implementation of those reports (The reports include dashboards and scorecards for senior executives, operational and transactional reports operational and team managers and also QA reports for the QA team). Create, automate and deploy data pipelines to enrich the organization's reporting system according to the requirements. Evaluate all operations workflows regarding accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency, scope, and timeliness and coordinate with the applicable business units in developing a plan for improvement for review and approval. Document business processes supporting process improvement initiatives and define standard operating procedures. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various systems and tools used in running operations. Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and automated data solutions. Create data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity. Produce executive-level reporting and visualizations to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with data governance, confidentiality, and security standards Collaborate effectively with other business units, including the client's relevant departments, as appropriate and applicable. Assist the customer with query and dashboard development according to its needs. May perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year college or university in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field Proficient in working with excel, spreadsheets, reporting required. Proficient in relational databases and SQL language is required. Proficient in data modelling is required. Proficient in PowerBI is required. Understanding of API integrations, automated reporting, and ETL processes. Experience working with large datasets and operational reporting environments. Hands-on experience with near real-time data platforms and data pipelines. Knowledge in Python and REST APIs is a plus. Knowledge in cloud and on-premises environments is a plus.

Experience:

5+ years' experience with database and SQL. 4+ years' experience with Excel and reporting tools. 2+ years' experience with data and analysis. 2+ years' experience with PowerBI. 2+ years' experience with Databricks. Experience in tolling industry is a plus.
