Job Description The Oracle Cloud Reporting Analyst will design, develop, and maintain Oracle Cloud reports and dashboards using
OTBI, BI
Publisher, and FRS reporting tools to support business needs. This position will collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into accurate and actionable reporting solutions; ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs, including troubleshooting and resolving reporting issues, and monitor, optimize, and enhance existing reports and dashboards to improve performance, usability, and overall reporting effectiveness. Essential Duties Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Cloud reports and dashboards using
OTBI, BI
Publisher, and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS) to support business reporting needs. Create and manage complex data models, ad-hoc queries, and data visualizations to deliver accurate and meaningful insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, define, and translate reporting requirements into effective reporting solutions. Analyze large datasets within Oracle Cloud applications to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for decision-making. Ensure all reports are optimized for performance, accuracy, usability, and consistency across reporting environments. Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders across business units. Configure, manage, and support Oracle Cloud reporting environments, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with governance standards. Perform regular audits, validations, and troubleshooting of reports to ensure data accuracy and resolve reporting issues. Manage report scheduling, distribution, and access controls to ensure timely and secure delivery of information to stakeholders. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, including technical specifications, data sources, business logic, and user guides Public Speaking Duties Present reporting insights, trends, and key findings to business stakeholders and leadership in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Explain reporting solutions and technical details in simple terms during meetings, demos, and discussions with both technical and non-technical teams. Lead conversations with stakeholders during workshops and review sessions to understand needs, share ideas, and make sure reporting solutions align with expectations. Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Grade The grade for this position is C44(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; AND Three years of progressively responsible, professional level analyst and systems experience in a large-scale Information Technology environment; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Valid Driver's License from state of residency Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field; AND Three years of progressively responsible, professional level analyst and systems experience in a large-scale Information Technology environment; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
