Job Summary:
The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for supporting SAP landscape administration, S/4HANA implementation and migration activities, SAP HANA database operations, and cloud-based SAP environments. This role focuses on maintaining system stability, managing transports, optimizing performance, and supporting SAP BTP configuration and connectivity across enterprise environments. The position requires close collaboration with SAP, AWS, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP operations and implementation initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end SAP S/4HANA
implementation, migration, and system conversion projects Perform SAP system installation, upgrade, and migration activities using SUM/DMO tools Manage SAP landscape environments including Development, QA, and Production systems Administer SAP HANA
databases including monitoring, backup/restore, and tenant database management Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues using SAP tools such as ST22, SM21, and SM37 Configure and manage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environments Manage BTP subaccounts, entitlements, destinations, and Cloud Connector configurations Support connectivity and integrations between SAP BTP and S/4HANA systems Coordinate with SAP RISE
teams, AWS infrastructure teams, and external vendors Manage transport management system (TMS), transport routes, and release/import cycles Support system monitoring, performance tuning, and operational governance Identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges proactively Ensure SAP system stability, availability, and performance optimization Support SAP cloud infrastructure provisioning, access management, and incident resolution Collaborate with Basis, functional, integration, cloud, and data teams in multi-vendor environments Required Skills:
Strong SAP Basis Administration experience Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
implementation and migration projects Experience with SAP installation, upgrade, and system conversion using SUM/DMO SAP HANA
administration experience including monitoring and backup/restore Experience with SAP HANA
Studio or HANA Cockpit Knowledge of RISE with SAP architecture and SAP-managed cloud environments Experience with SAP BTP setup, configuration, and administration Strong knowledge of transport management and SAP system operations Experience troubleshooting and optimizing SAP system performance Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work collaboratively in complex multi-vendor environments 5-10 years of SAP Basis Administration experience required Experience supporting cloud-based SAP environments preferred Ability to coordinate with SAP, AWS, IBM, PwC, and other external vendors Strong focus on system stability, governance, and operational excellence Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP Datasphere configuration and integration Knowledge of SAP Fiori and Gateway administration Experience with SAP Solution Manager or Focused Run Exposure to AWS or hyperscaler cloud environments Understanding of SAP cloud connectivity and integration concepts Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
