Maintain historical performance data for trend analysis and capacity planning.
Participate in SAP system audits and disaster recovery planning and exercises.
Work with the IT team on the proper use of Clients and Transports.
Monitor Transport Management Systems (TMS) Worklist and move transports to downstream systems.
Understand various methods of building QA and Production environments.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including upgrades and patch management.
Adhere to backup and recovery policies and partner with team members in performance and capacity planning responsibilities.
Support programming personnel in implementing new or changed applications by installing new or updated software on servers, allocating or positioning database and non-database files, and assisting with script setup and testing.
Assist with the maintenance of SAP user IDs and access rights assigned to IDs.
Maintain access rights and profiles as required to support computer security policies.
Assist with the administration and maintenance of security across all SAP systems and applications.
Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support and assist tier 3 resources with system administration and security-related problems.
Assist Operations Support staff as needed.
Coordinate special projects as assigned by management.
Cross-train with and provide support for other IT associates.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Overtime and/or travel as required.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, which include IATF, ISO, ISMS, TISAX, QMS, and safety-related policies.
Bachelor's degree in IT or commensurate experience.
Minimum of two years of SAP Basis Administration on an Oracle platform.
Understanding of the basic concepts of SAP administration and maintenance, as well as configuring and administering SAP User Security.
Moderate understanding of technology architecture surrounding SAP (network, database, operating system, etc.) and SAP client architecture (instance, client, transports, authentication, XI, Solution Manager).Knowledge of various network operating systems, file and directory management.
Moderate knowledge of Active Directory including maintenance of software groups, consumer groups, location codes, E2K, reporting, and computer group access.
Excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent project management skills.
Analytical math skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Working knowledge of hardware and software related to PCs and data communications systems preferred.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Able to travel up to 25%.

TheSAP BASIS
Administrator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining SAP application and database performance, supporting system security, and assisting with installations, upgrades, and patch management. Based out of the North American Headquarters in Wixom, Michigan, this role involves managing transport systems, participating in disaster recovery planning and system audits, and providing technical support across all SAP systems.
