The consultant also supports integration with external tax engines (Vertex), where applicable, and ensures alignment between tax requirements, intercompany processes, and upstream operational and financial functions. Finance with focus on direct tax-relevant data and processes Experience supporting current and deferred tax reporting, tax provision, and compliance using SAP financial data Ability to extract, reconcile, and validate tax‑sensitive data from GL, Fixed Assets, and intercompany postings Experience supporting tax consolidation and alignment between statutory, management, and tax reporting Proven ability to deliver audit‑ready, traceable tax reporting aligned with SAP trial balance and financial statements Sales & Use Tax / Indirect Tax Hands on experience with Sales and Use Tax determination in SAP. Knowledge of tax relevant master data (customer, vendor, material) and its impact on tax calculation. Experience supporting tax reporting and statutory filings, including reconciliation of tax postings. Property Tax Experience supporting property tax compliance and reporting, including assessed values, tax bases, and jurisdictional reporting Ability to extract, reconcile, and validate asset‑related tax data from Fixed Assets (FI‑AA), General Ledger, and legal entity structures Understanding of asset capitalization, depreciation, retirements, and transfers and their impact on property tax reporting Experience supporting tax consolidation and reconciliation between property tax data, statutory reporting, and SAP trial balance Proven ability to deliver audit‑ready, traceable property tax data from SAP for filings, assessments, and audits Withholding Tax Hands on experience configuring and supporting Withholding Tax in SAP, including tax types, codes, and reporting. Understanding of withholding tax posting, liability accounting, and remittance reporting. Experience supporting compliance and audit requirements related to withholding tax. Transfer Pricing Strong understanding of transfer pricing concepts, including cost plus, markup, and profit split methodologies. Hands on experience with intercompany accounting, profit center accounting, and margin analysis in SAP. Ability to analyze intercompany flows and ensure alignment between transfer pricing, tax reporting, and management P&L. Experience integrating S/4 with operational transfer pricing using complementary platforms such as SAP PaPM or Alteryx. Integration & Cross Functional Skills Experience supporting integration between S/4 and external tax engines (e.g., Vertex). Ability to collaborate with Tax, Finance, Controlling, and IT stakeholders. Strong analytical skills to design scalable, compliant SAP tax solutions for complex, multi entity environments.
