Job Summary:

The SAP Vertex Consultant will support indirect tax technology initiatives across enterprise tax systems and connected platforms. The role requires hands-on experience with Vertex O Series, enterprise application support, and SAP-integrated tax processes, with responsibilities covering application enhancements, integrations, testing, issue resolution, releases, deployment activities, and operational support. The consultant will collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and business teams to maintain reliable tax determination, system stability, and successful delivery of tax-related initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Support Vertex application initiatives, enhancements, and operational activities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver project objectives.
• Support and maintain Vertex indirect tax solutions to ensure stable and accurate tax determination processes.
• Assist with integrations involving SAP, Ariba, CFIN, Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other connected enterprise platforms.
• Participate in testing activities, defect management, user support, validation, and production readiness efforts.
• Investigate and resolve application issues while minimizing business disruption.
• Support application releases, enhancements, patches, and deployment activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, controls, and change management processes.
• Support business continuity and operational stability for critical tax applications. Required Qualifications
• 8-12 years of experience in SAP, tax technology, enterprise application support, or related areas.
• Strong experience with Vertex O Series and Vertex tax application support.
• Experience with Vertex integrations and indirect tax technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application support, incident management, and production support processes.
• Experience supporting SAP-integrated tax processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with testing, defect resolution, and release management activities.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams in a complex global environment.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
• SAP ECC and/or

SAP S/4HANA

integration experience.

• Experience with Ariba, CFIN, Transact, Transcend, and Osprey platforms.
• Knowledge of indirect tax processes and tax compliance systems.
• Experience supporting global enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong ownership and accountability.
