Job Summary The

SAP VMS SME

is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS) solutions for automotive and vehicle distribution businesses. The role focuses on managing end-to-end vehicle lifecycle processes, including vehicle ordering, logistics, yard management, sales, invoicing, and settlement, while ensuring seamless integration with SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, and logistics modules. Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP VMS covering vehicle master data, vehicle categories, vehicle order management, vehicle allocation and availability, yard and logistics processing, vehicle sales, billing, and returns.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from automotive stakeholders and translate them into SAP VMS solutions.
• Design and document functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, and workflows.
• Support the end-to-end vehicle lifecycle from factory ordering through dealer or customer delivery.
• Integrate SAP VMS with

SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP

FI/CO, and

SAP LE/EWM/TM.

• Participate in

SAP S/4HANA VMS

implementations and migrations from SAP ECC.

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
• Provide post-go-live support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with ABAP and integration teams on IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, BADIs, and User Exits.
• Support interfaces with OEM, dealer, and third-party logistics systems.
• Support data migration and vehicle master conversion activities.
• Ensure solutions align with automotive business processes and SAP best practices. Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS) in SAP ECC and/or

SAP S/4HANA

environments.

• Strong understanding of automotive business processes and vehicle distribution operations.
• Experience integrating SAP VMS with SAP SD, MM, and FI/CO.
• Knowledge of SAP logistics processes and integration with SAP LE, EWM, and/or TM.
• Experience with vehicle-specific processes, including VIN handling, vehicle stock management, vehicle invoicing, and settlement.
• Experience with SAP implementation, rollout, or migration projects.
• Experience working with SAP integration technologies, including IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
• Understanding of SAP enhancements, including BADIs and User Exits.
• Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, data migration, and post-go-live activities.
