Opportunity:
Sterling Engineering's client, a leading innovator in the energy and technology sector, is looking for an ERP Project Management Analyst to join their organization. This is a stable company at the forefront of US energy solutions with a diverse project portfolio and a commitment to quality and safety, offering long-term contract stability through the end of 2026 and beyond.
Job Duties:
Lead and manage the administration and processing of the daily time collection process, ensuring accurate project cost tracking and billing. Continuously analyze and improve Project Management processes and tools to enhance data accuracy and system efficiency. Organize and balance time transfer workflows from timecard systems to project and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics SL). Identify and resolve time entry issues and discrepancies by performing regular audits and reconciliations against payroll data. Minimize errors in timecard related data by creating and implementing new validation processes and automated checks. Motivate and support employees and managers with technical expertise, providing expert guidance on hardware/software time entry interfaces. Ensure consistent compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) by maintaining strict segregation of duties related to timekeeping and accounting. Collaborate with billing, project accounting, and payroll teams to report discrepancies and facilitate accurate project transactions. Drive and implement digital workflows and improved Project Management tools, including resource assignment and Earned Value Management Analysis. Prepare regular reports and technical documentation, including user manuals, tutorials, and automated data validation reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or Business Administration. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, accounting, or project-related IT within a technical or regulated environment. Proven ability to process complex data transfers and manage high-volume request queues effectively. Strong understanding of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics SL, Oracle OTL, or Oracle PPM; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and technical communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex written information. Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries and build Power BI reports (preferred) to support project management and enterprise data. Strong knowledge of industry-standard quality and safety regulations, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1.
