Houston, TX Duration:
9+ months Contract This role is primarily remote with very occasional travel to Houston, TX (once in six month most likely). The resource will be expected to work in Pacific Time zone. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud AMS Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM), specifically Project Foundations, Project Costing, and Project Billing. The role will support post-implementation application management services, including production support, issue resolution, minor enhancements, configuration changes, testing, and business user advisory. The consultant will work closely with business, finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure stable, efficient, and compliant operation of Oracle Cloud PPM processes.
Responsibilities:
Provide AMS support for Oracle Cloud PPM modules, with primary focus on: o Project Foundations o Project Costing o Project Billing Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, defects, and user-reported incidents within SLA timelines. Perform configuration and functional support for project setup, project templates, task structures, expenditure types, burden schedules, cost allocation, and billing controls. Support transaction processing, cost collection, accounting validation, invoice generation, and revenue/billing-related issue resolution. Work with cross-functional teams across Oracle ERP Cloud, especially General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement, to resolve upstream/downstream issues. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend sustainable fixes for recurring issues. Support quarterly release impact assessment, regression testing, and business validation for Oracle Cloud updates. Prepare functional specifications for minor enhancements and coordinate with technical teams for reports, conversions, integrations, and extensions. Assist business users with process clarification, training, and best practice guidance. Maintain support documentation, configuration workbooks, knowledge articles, and ticket updates. Participate in incident review, service improvement, and governance meetings.
