Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior SAP Functional Expert - Production (PP) to lead the design, optimization, and transformation of our SAP Production Planning landscape.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP PP, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven track record delivering end-to-end SAP projects in complex environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP PP and related modules (PP-PI, QM), ensuring seamless integration with MM, SD, and PMPartner with business stakeholders to gather complex requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient SAP solutionsDrive global and regional SAP initiatives, including rollouts, upgrades, and continuous improvement programsDevelop clear functional specifications (RICEFW) and collaborate closely with ABAP, Basis, and integration teamsDefine and optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes, including MRP, production orders, shop floor execution, and capacity planningEnsure effective integration with external systems such as MES platformsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and cross-functional teamsManage incidents, changes, and project activities, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveryMaintain comprehensive documentation (process flows, configurations, functional designs, training materials)Stay current on
SAP S/4HANA
capabilities and identify opportunities for digital manufacturing transformationSupport pre-sales activities and contribute to business development efforts QualificationsRequired Skills & Qualifications10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP, including full lifecycle implementations and supportProven experience with
SAP S/4HANA
(mandatory)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including discrete, repetitive, and process manufacturingDeep expertise in SAP PP configuration: MRP, BOMs, routings, production orders, capacity planning, and shop floor controlSolid integration experience with SAP modules such as MM, SD, QM, and PMExperience defining and validating functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and custom developmentsFamiliarity with MES integration (e.g., SAP ME, SAP MII, or third-party systems)Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teamsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments is an assetAdditional InformationWhy Join Sopra Steria?
