Business Intelligence and Analytics Sr Analyst Operations (Data Analysis)

Company Overview General Summary:

Conducts in-depth data analysis with a using a cross functional knowledge of: merchandising, supply chain, and retail operations to identify areas of opportunity to mitigate product shrink and damages. Synthesizes root cause analysis to provide insights and actional recommendations and influence assortment decisions. Leads special projects and activities to minimize shrink and damage risk in our stores to help the company receive its financial goals.

Job Details Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop a deep understanding of shrink and damage data and work cross functionally with the Merchandising and Global Inventory teams to understand how to answer their root business problems or questions using data. Translate data/insights needs into analytics techniques to produce data-driven and actionable insights. Present findings in PowerPoint or PowerBI to stakeholders, "telling the story" With data to non- technical audiences. Answer ad-hoc questions as needed with the ability to explain analytics or digital concepts. Balance a combination of quick turn reporting asks with deeper dive analysis and prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Ability to turn data into insights and recommendations, 'telling the story' to stakeholders and influencing decisions. Understanding of data visualization and design principles, communicating data dense information in a digestible way. Ability to turn ad hoc analysis into repeatable/scalable templates. Intermediate query skills in 1010data. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Experience with dashboarding tools like PowerBI preferred. Experience with programming languages like SQL and python preferred. Experience with retail industry preferred.

Qualifications Work Experience &/or Education:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's in related field preferred (Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering). Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. 0-2 yrs relevant professional experience in analytics and data science, retail merchandising, financial planning and analysis, asset protection, operations, required.
