Sr. JDE Manufacturing Functional analyst 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 24275 Katy Fwy Ste 600, Katy, TX 77494 U.S. Silica 234 reviews The Senior JDE Manufacturing Functional Analyst is a subject matter expert (SME) for US Silica's JD Edwards (JDE) ERP environment, with deep functional expertise across Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory. Reporting to the ERP Applications Manager, this role partners with business and IT stakeholders to design, implement, and support ERP solutions that align with operational goals, enterprise standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Functional Leadership & Business Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into effective JDE-enabled solutions. Partner with stakeholders to design streamlined, scalable processes aligned with IT and organizational strategy. Promote lean process design to improve quality, productivity, and operational performance. Bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clarity of requirements and outcomes. JDE Application Expertise & Solution Design Provide functional leadership and support across JDE Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory modules. Analyze requirements and recommend solutions that enhance system functionality, usability, and performance. Identify opportunities to leverage existing JDE capabilities or introduce new functionality. Evaluate enhancement requests for feasibility, cost, timeline, and design alternatives. Partner with technical teams to design, configure, and implement compliant, high-quality solutions. Project Delivery & Change Management Lead and participate in projects across the full SDLC, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Support and validate user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate Electronic Software Updates (ESUs). Develop and maintain functional, process, and technical documentation. Production Support & Enablement Provide day-to-day functional support and serve as backup for the Applications Administrator. Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution. Deliver user training, system orientation, and ongoing knowledge transfer. Stay current on JDE releases and industry best practices, recommending improvements proactively. Governance, Security & Vendor Management Ensure compliance with SOX controls, security standards, and internal governance processes. Manage relationships with Oracle Support and third-party vendors to drive issue resolution and system enhancements. Support audits and contribute to effective vendor performance management. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 10+ years of experience in a JD Edwards functional analyst role Advanced functional expertise in JDE Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory Experience working with Oracle Support and third-party vendors (CNC and database support) Exposure to JDE Quality module strongly preferred EDI Exchange experience is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to lead complex initiatives independently Clear communicator with both technical and business audiences Strong stakeholder influence, collaboration, and professionalism High accountability, attention to detail, and customer focus Ability to travel up to 10-15% travel as business needs require U.S. Silica is a leading producer of industrial minerals essential to modern life.
