LOCATION
NEWINGTON, CT. This is a 100% in-person position based in Newington, Connecticut
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

DataMail is a large, fullservice direct mail lettershop providing endtoend mail production services for clients nationwide. We operate complex, highvolume production environments and rely on accurate, timely data to drive operational efficiency, quality, and decisionmaking across the organization.
POSITION SUMMARY
DataMail is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and support data solutions that transform operational and financial data into actionable insights. This role will work primarily within the Microsoft development stack, leveraging Power BI, SQL Server, and C#/.NET using Visual Studio to build dashboards, reporting solutions, and supporting services.

The ideal candidate is handson, technically strong, and comfortable working close to the businesspartnering with operations, finance, and IT to deliver reliable analytics in a fastpaced production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Intelligence & ReportingDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational, financial, and executive reportingBuild and optimize Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, and data visualizationsWork with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutionsData Engineering & SQL DevelopmentDevelop and optimize SQL Server queries, views, stored procedures, and ETL processesEnsure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across reporting systemsTroubleshoot data issues and proactively improve data quality and consistencyApplication & Service DevelopmentDevelop supporting C#/.NET components and services used in data integration, automation, or reporting workflowsMaintain and enhance existing internal tools using Visual StudioIntegrate BI solutions with internal systems and production platformsCollaboration & Process ImprovementPartner with business users to understand workflows and identify reporting opportunitiesDocument BI solutions, data definitions, and technical designsFollow best practices for version control, testing, and deployment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong experience with Power BI (datasets, reports, DAX, Power BI Service)Advanced SQL Server skills, including performance tuning and complex query developmentExperience developing in C#/.NET using Visual StudioSolid understanding of relational data modeling and reporting best practicesAbility to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholdersMinimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, or operationsdriven environmentsStrong understanding of finance and jobcosting concepts, with experience analyzing joblevel profitability, cost drivers, and financial performance in an operational or production environmentExperience with or interest in leveraging AIassisted tools (e.g., copilots, code assistants, or analytics features) to improve productivity, data analysis, or development workflowsFamiliarity with ETL tools, data warehousing conceptsExperience working with large or complex transactional datasetsKnowledge of source control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps) Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
