Job Description

About the Role We're looking for an Salesforce Developer Intern to help build, configure, and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform. You'll work alongside senior developers and business analysts to implement customizations, automate business processes, and support integrations across Sales, Marketing, and Operations. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow their development skills within a widely-used enterprise platform. Key Responsibilities Development & Configuration Build and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, and record types in Salesforce Write Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) under guidance from senior developers Configure Flows, Process Builder, and validation rules to automate business processes Support declarative (clicks-not-code) solutions before recommending custom code Testing & Quality Write unit tests for Apex code to meet code coverage and quality standards Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing customizations and integrations Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate fixes before deployment Follow release management and deployment best practices (sandboxes, change sets, CI/CD tools) Integrations & Data Assist with integrations between Salesforce and other business systems (marketing automation, ERP, support tools) Support data migration, imports, and data quality efforts using tools like Data Loader Help maintain APIs and middleware connections (e.g., REST/SOAP callouts, MuleSoft, or similar) Collaboration & Support Partner with business analysts and stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Operations to understand requirements Translate business requirements into technical solutions within the Salesforce platform Document technical designs, configurations, and code changes Provide day-to-day support for Salesforce users, resolving tickets and bugs as needed AI & Automation Development Help build and configure an interactive AI support agent within Salesforce (e.g., Agentforce/Einstein or custom LWC integration with an LLM API) to automate responses to common user questions Develop Apex classes and Lightning Web Components to connect the AI agent to Salesforce data (cases, knowledge articles, CRM records) Configure and train the AI agent using knowledge base content, FAQs, and support workflows Write test cases to validate AI agent responses, accuracy, and proper escalation to human agents Monitor and iterate on AI agent performance, expanding automated coverage over time Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 0-2 years of experience developing on the Salesforce platform (internships, coursework, or personal projects count) Basic understanding of Apex, Visualforce, and/or Lightning Web Components Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts Understanding of relational databases and basic
SQL/SOQL
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn Salesforce best practices and platform updates Preferred (Not Required) Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (or in progress) Salesforce Administrator certification Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools Exposure to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Interest in or exposure to AI/LLM tools (e.g., Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, chatbot frameworks) Coursework, internship, or project experience involving CRM or business systems What Success Looks Like You deliver clean, well-tested code that meets business requirements You become comfortable navigating the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related tools) You build strong working relationships with business analysts and stakeholders across the company You progress toward a Salesforce Platform Developer II certification and a mid-level developer role
