Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Analytics Consultant - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will consult on and participate in moderatelyplex initiatives and deliverables within Analytics, contributing to large-scale planning and deliverables. You will review and analyzeplex Analytics challenges, contribute to resolving issues, and collaborate with client personnel while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, andpliance requirements. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:

Manage and resolve enterprise BI support tickets through the CASE system, with the majority focused on Microsoft Power BI

Troubleshoot and resolve issues including Power BI Gateway connectivity, report and dataset access, capacity and performance constraints, and database connectivity problems

Partner with various teams across the organization to analyze semantic models, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and provide best practice guidance for scalable reporting solutions

Collaborate closely with the Power BI Platform Team, Database Administrators (DBAs), and Microsoft Vendor Support

Act as a technical consultant by meeting directly with users to fully understand business and technical problems, rmend effective solutions, and coordinate across platform and vendor teams when required

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or abination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Performance Analyzer and Capacity Metrics App
• Proficiency with Power Query (M) and Paginated Reports (SSRS) to optimize report rendering time
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Notebooks, Direct Lake, and Data Pipelines
• Experience with On-Premises Data Gateways, including diagnosing connectivity failures and understanding architecture
• Strong skills in Data Modeling to design and assess efficient data models for optimal performance

Desired skills:

Experience with DAX Studio to identify query inefficiencies and bottlenecks

Pay range: $36.56 - $44.56 per hour
