• Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:

• + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field from an accredited institution + 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or related roles. + A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• + A master's degree in accounting, business, business analytics, finance, economics, statistics, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

+ Higher education accounting and finance experience. + Experience working with Epic or any other Electronic Health Record. + Experience working with Python, R or other statistical modeling tools. + Experience working w/ Artificial Intelligence (AI) specifically Microsoft Co-pilot. + Experience working in Visual Studio Code with version control i.e. GitHub and TFS.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a Financial Analyst and Business Intelligence (BI) Developer (Finance and Accounting Principal Professional). This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will be responsible for providing financial activities and system analytics for the Department of Emergency Medicine. This includes providing advanced accounting, finance, and analytical support to the Department through complex financial analysis and modeling, trend analysis, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Power BI, PowerPivot, and Excel.

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in developing accurate, insightful financial reports by integrating data from multiple sources. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and a deep understanding of financial principles. The analyst will support both detailed financial accountability and high-level strategic planning, ensuring leadership has the information needed to make informed decisions.
