Remote Position Overview:
Malco Group is seeking a Lead Oracle E-Business Suite Developer. The Lead Oracle EBS Developer will be responsible for the administration, support, development, and strategic evolution of Oracle and related enterprise business systems. This role serves as the technical and functional authority for Oracle E-Business Suite and associated integration platforms, ensuring systems are stable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business operations. The position functions as a hybrid EBS Technical Lead, Senior Developer, and Systems Architect, providing hands-on development, operational support, project leadership, vendor coordination, and mentorship to junior IT staff. This role is critical to the reliability of Malco Groups core business applications, including manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise integrations. Key Responsibilities Core Systems & Platforms Supported Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle Database Oracle APEX Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Oracle Forms & Reports Oracle Workflow Integration platforms including EDI and barcode/scanning technologies Related business and middleware systems supporting enterprise operations Technical Consulting & System Planning Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle E-Business Suite and related enterprise platforms. Provide technical and functional consulting to business stakeholders regarding system capabilities, constraints, and best practices. Assist in establishing and maintaining one-year and five-year roadmaps for Oracle and related business systems. Evaluate, propose, and plan enhancements and new projects involving Oracle platforms and integrations. Ensure projects originating outside of MIS that involve Oracle systems are properly scoped and planned. Project Leadership & Implementation Serve as lead developer and technical owner for Oracle and related business system projects. Act as project manager for small to mid-sized Oracle and integration initiatives when required. Design, develop, and review Oracle customizations, extensions, workflows, and integrations. Coordinate and assist other engineers with project tasks and troubleshooting. Ensure appropriate technical documentation and operational handoff are completed for all projects. Support system go-lives with clear communication, minimal disruption, and effective issue resolution. System Operations, Support & Governance Provide Tier 1-3 support for Oracle and related enterprise systems. Ensure timely communication and escalation of critical system issues. Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure systems are secure, available, patched, and recoverable. Participate in vendor management, licensing, contracts, and support agreements related to Oracle platforms. Contribute to the advancement of operational standards, change control practices, and support processes. Monitor performance, capacity, and system health; proactively recommend improvements. Review code and mentor junior developers to ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability. Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and training of users and contractors for Oracle systems.
Experience:
Deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite, with 10+ years of experience Strong hands-on experience with: Oracle
SQL & PL/SQL
Oracle Forms and Reports Oracle Workflow Oracle APEX Extensive experience supporting mission-critical ERP systems in a production environment Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple concurrent initiatives Proven ability to mentor, guide, and delegate work to junior team members Experience supporting Oracle Supply Chain Planning (SCP) within a manufacturing environment Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
