Once a week in Reston, VA Job Overview We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Developer with strong hands-on development and solution architecture experience to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence (BI) applications, reporting solutions, and analytics dashboards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the MicroStrategy platform, strong SQL and data analysis skills, and working knowledge of AWS and Python. This role also involves collaborating with business stakeholders, troubleshooting cross-team delivery issues, and training and mentoring existing team members. Experience in AI and healthcare is a plus. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with EIS stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional BI solutions. Design, develop, and maintain complex reporting suites, advanced analytics reports, dashboards, and Report Services Documents using MicroStrategy. Build scalable, high-performance business intelligence applications and data analytics dashboards. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. Apply MicroStrategy features, including transformations, complex reports, rolling and nested metrics, relationship filters, and VLDB properties. Work with relational databases, data warehousing technologies, OLAP, and big data environments. Lead solution testing, deployment, and performance optimization to ensure deliverables meet business requirements. Take ownership of technical challenges and cross-team delivery issues, proactively coordinating with relevant teams. Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, resolve issues, and provide technical assistance and training. Train and mentor existing resources, sharing best practices and supporting team development. Follow Agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement in BI solutions. Required Qualifications 6+ years of recent, hands-on experience with the MicroStrategy platform. Strong experience creating Advanced Analytics Reports, Visual Insight Dashboards, and Report Services Documents. Proven experience in BI development, dashboard creation, and data analytics solution design. Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries, views, and stored procedures. Experience with AWS and Python in data or analytics environments. Hands-on development and solution architecture experience. Solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS), data warehousing, web and client/server technologies, and OLAP. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra. Experience working with current and historical data for reporting and analytics. Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. Ability to train and mentor team members and support technical delivery. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the healthcare industry. Exposure to AI-related initiatives or AI-powered analytics solutions. Experience working with modern data and analytics platforms.
Pay:
